FREMONT, CA: “One of my passions is transforming creative ideas and strategies into tangible products, so I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of RS Groups DesignSpark team and for the opportunity to help entrepreneurs advance their business technologies and strategies,” says Program Director Nash Porter, a Bryan, Texas, native who built his career engaging in the local startup and technology community. Allied Electronics & Automation, a trading brand of RS Group plc, a global provider of omnichannel products and service solutions, has developed the new RS DesignSpark Accelerate program.
“I believe the Accelerate program will provide young businesses with excellent growth opportunities as well as provide unique resources for local economic development,” adds Porter.
The Accelerate initiative would expedite the prototyping of innovative entrepreneurs' ideas by providing financial support to companies with extraordinary ideas. Accelerate offers the opportunity to expedite design cycles by providing access to easy tools, professional goods, and a specialized environment adapted to the requirements of each organization. With the assistance of talented engineers, innovators, and business entrepreneurs, each firm can be scaled for global launch and complete the next phase of product development before graduating from the program.
The hunt begins. Accelerate is seeking a local, hybrid, and virtual startups motivated to dream bigger, test their talents, and increase their success in the technology industry. The sought candidates will specialize in developing hardware and software solutions for digital factories, smart buildings and facilities, energy management and efficiency, Industry 4.0, and supply chains.
Successful startups will join the Accelerate program at the RS DesignSpark Innovation Center in Bryan-College Station, Texas. Applicants will pitch their ideas to technology professionals within the RS DesignSpark organization. In addition to private office space, the facilities feature an expanding design center, coworking spaces, corporate meeting rooms, and an onsite fitness center. In addition, participants will receive up to $50,000 in in-kind capital, access to RS Group's industrial network of manufacturers, suppliers, and customers for determining product-market fit, and onsite and virtual mentorship to maximize their company's potential.
The fundamental purpose of RS DesignSparks is to promote the progress of innovators worldwide, and the Accelerate program intends to do just that.
