OCS also acquired REDO two years ago, an Italian company that has developed an innovative solution to enable banking institutions to address the emerging market of nano-loans. Through this, OCS addresses the challenges faced by CL companies while onboarding consumers without a full-time job or classical risk-free profile per bank. The solution allows consumers, even the ones unknown to the banking world, to apply for nano loans by real-time scoring them based on the data it draws from their mobile devices. The entire process takes less than ten minutes and is fully compliant with the EU Bank and Italian Central Bank rules on privacy, customer profiling, and risk management. Consequently, CLs can tap into large customer segments like underbanked and young generations with no credit history and expand their business.

“The solution streamlines onboarding, contract signing, and risk assessment over a mobile device. This also helps traditional banks with better customer acquisition. Banks can attract new customers and provide nano loans, later converting them into mainstream clients,” says Camisa.
