Euclid Transactional, LLC, a prominent managing general agent specializing in transactional insurance underwriting and claims handling, has introduced two new Tax Underwriters, Kami LaBerge and Egbert van der Graaff. These additions are integral to managing the uncertainty and risk associated with tax positions for Euclid Transactional’s clients and partners in the context of M&A deals, strategic tax positions, and tax credit opportunities.

Kami LaBerge has joined Euclid Transactional’s North American team as a Senior Vice President. Previously, she served as a tax attorney in the Los Angeles office of Paul Hastings, where she provided counsel on a diverse range of domestic and international tax issues. Her focus included renewable energy tax incentives, and she represented various stakeholders in navigating complex tax equity and tax credit transfer transactions.
Egbert van der Graaff has joined Euclid Transactional as a Senior Vice President for clients in the EMEA region. Before this role, he served as a Senior Tax Underwriter at a global insurance company, underwriting tax policies across continental Europe. Prior to his insurance career, Egbert gained a decade of experience as an international tax advisor with PwC Netherlands, specializing in M&A tax.
Justin Berutich, Managing Director and Head of Tax at Euclid Transactional, highlighted the critical knowledge and expertise that Kami and Egbert bring to the global team. He stated, “They add to the depth of our growing 13-member tax insurance practice.”
Since its establishment in 2016, Euclid Transactional has underwritten over 6,000 policies for deals with a combined value exceeding $4.8 trillion. The insureds have received claims payments exceeding $740 million from policies issued by Euclid Transactional.
